Calum is a Physiotherapist, specialising in musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation and recovery for all, from the general public with aches and pains to professional athletes wishing to return to high level sport. He has a strong focus on evidence-based care and has worked as a sports first aider and therapist with both football and rugby teams.
Calum's aim is to help empower people to feel confident and safe allowing them to move well in all function. He understands the frustration of pain and how it can have an effect on everyday life and Calum also understands the importance of how injuries feel too, as only you can tell the true detail of your injury and how it has affected you. From all of this, his aim is, in conjunction with his patients, to come up with a joint treatment plan with agreed goals for the future to look at what is most important to them.
Calum enjoys keeping himself fit with hill climbing, weight training and skiing when possible. Before becoming a physiotherapist Calum went through rehab for knee injuries and feels this helped him understand the frustration of injuries and what he knows people expect with rehab. After studying in Edinburgh and working in Scottish football, Calum decided to come down to London to work in the summer of 2021.
“I like to think I am conscious of the wider picture when treating people, I like to find out what exactly is important to the person in front of me and how we can continue to do the things we love as much as possible. Exercise is great but if we can make it something the person enjoys then the rehab typically is more successful"
