SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPIST
Massage Specialities
Whether you are working with our team of physios to recover from injury, training for a specific sporting event, or struggling with day-to-day aches and pains, Jess brings her knowledge of the physical, physiological and psychological benefits of massage to deliver soft tissue treatments that aim to: correct muscular imbalances, increase range of movement, reduce pain, and relax both body and mind. Combining deep tissue massage techniques with more targeted techniques such as Soft Tissue Release, Post Isometric Relaxation, Trigger Point Release and Myofascial Release, sports massage can help clients optimise their physical performance and recovery.
Alongside her qualifications in sports massage, Jess brings an appreciation for the challenges of balancing work, life and personal wellbeing, having spent the first 20+ years of her working life leading high-performance teams in the professional services sector. Following her own experience with post injury rehabilitation, Jess took the decision to leave the corporate world to pursue a more personally fulfilling career in an area that had long been of interest; she does still love a good spreadsheet, however.
Previous Experience
Jess' clients to date range from personal trainers to cross fit enthusiasts, from “Ironmen” and marathon runners to "couch to 5K" runners, and from keen golfers to weekend football enthusiasts - almost all of whom also struggle with day to day aches and pains as a result of long hours spent at a desk or looking at a screen.
As part of her qualifications, Jess has supported local Teddington / Twickenham running clubs through open clinics held at St. Mary's; more recently, Jess had the privilege of being one of a team of 3 massage therapists working with Cirque du Soleil whilst they were in London for the Royal Albert Hall dates of their Corteo world tour - clients there included acrobats, gymnasts, musicians and production crew from all over the world.
Jess' Passions
Outside of work, Jess is an avid traveller and is enjoying getting back to more adventurous destinations as her kids get older. She is a keen skier, and runner, having completed 12 half marathons since 2018. She is slowly ramping her distance back up since rupturing her ACL in 2023.
